iStory™ increases engagement and loyalty for Lawyers Weekly
Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, founded in 1972, reports decisions issued by all state and federal courts in Massachusetts, as well as changes to court rules, verdict & settlement reports, bar-discipline notices and all other news vital to attorneys in the commonwealth. Also covered are hundreds of rulings from state and federal trial courts and state agencies. As a result, Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly connects advertisers with influential and sophisticated decision makers across the state.
Client Situation
- Lawyers Weekly needed to create a compelling and informative promotional vehicle for their annual Excellence in the Law event
- They required a unique showpiece that spoke to their wide range of services and products while demonstrating cutting-edge technological innovation
Open i Solution
- Open i Networks proposed an iStory concept to provide an interactive tour of all Lawyers Weekly products, services, and advertising opportunities
- Working hand in hand with Lawyers Weekly staff to create the script, Open i Networks converted Lawyers Weekly headquarters into a green-screen studio and turned the staff into convincing actors for the iStory
- The result was a modular, user-driven experience that allowed readers, advertisers and other viewers a peak into the virtual Lawyers Weekly offices and culture
- The iStory ran on a 60” screen, constantly looping throughout the event, and mini CD versions were presented to attendees as take-home items in gift bags
Business Results
- As the showpiece of the Excellence in the Law event, expectations were exceeded and utilization of the iStory was expanded
- The iStory was proudly displayed in the lobby of Lawyers Weekly offices, and a direct marketing campaign featured it and sent it to hundreds of prospective advertisers to heighten awareness and engagement
- Lawyers Weekly staff participation instilled a sense of ownership in the story, project, and company, thereby increasing team building and loyalty
When we at Lawyers Weekly heard about "iStories," we were interested in the concept, but not sold on the idea by any means. Then we saw a demonstration of an iStory. Animated video leaping off the screen. An interactive "movie" that promotes one's business. That's when we fell in love with the concept and made a date to start shooting our own iStory.
An iStory incorporated into a website is addictive eye candy. It's really an information conduit, a "toy" and a show all rolled into one. And they can be structured in any way you imagine, so that your company's story unfolds in informative breathtaking fashion.
Marketing one's business is a tough task, and businesses are constantly trying to outdo one another. I can assure you that an iStory will kick your business' marketing efforts up to the next level.
